OZ Superturismo TGR-WRT wheels

Hey all,

Was at a car show this weekend and one of the reps mentioned that Toyota had co-developed OZ wheels that are going to be sold at the dealer as well as third parties. They look pretty stunning. Apparenty they will be released in North America this fall.


" Derived from both companies’ direct experience of WRC and as a result of many years of technical partnership, Superturismo TGR-WRT retains all the racing features and transfers them to street use.
Superturismo TGR-WRT features the typical OZ multi-spoke design, adding the TGR-WRT Carbon Center Cap and the OZ-TGR dual brand tampography mark on the center of the wheel.
Superturismo TGR-WRT will be available initially in Matt Graphite + Silver Lettering finish in the following sizes: 7x17; 7.5x17; 7.5x18; 8x18; 8.5x20 & 9x21.
The new OZ-Toyota wheel will first be released in Japan and Europe"

As a WRC fan I'm looking forward to these. I have a set of O.Z. Rally wheels on my other car and love them! Tirerack is the only company that sells OZ in the US and they mentioned they are expecting late summer but I can wait until fall I guess.

Looking at the photo, these appear to be standard 60° conical for aftermarket wheels, but I can't quite tell if they're extended thread style or not. Bolting to the short OEM studs, I hope they're ET because standard conical doesn't quite allow for sufficient thread engagement. The holes do look a little large, so if I had to make a bet, I'd assume conical ET.

These may also just be marketing photos, if it's an OEM Toyota thing they may need the flat faced mag style ET lug nuts like the OE wheels.

All that said, the 18x8 and 38mm offset will make the wheel appear a little over 1/2" farther inset than OEM. Spacers can correct this, but they'll need to be thick bolt-ons, probably 25f/35f, maybe 30f/40r. That might introduce some mild handling quirks on uneven surfaces. Spacers eliminate lug nut issues, though.

I reached out to OZ Racing on Instagram. They said you need the following to fit the 18x8" ET 38s on the GR Corolla:

  • 10 mm spacers
  • extended thread conical lug nuts (12mm x 1.5mm)
  • 75-60.1 hub centric rings

So it looks like they'll fit extended thread lug nuts, but you'll need spacers, so you're either running spacers with longer studs or just putting longer studs and rocking the flat spacers.

I just couldn't pass it up, half an inch skinnier or not........I drove my Subaru for 12 years on a set of Superturismo's and i always had plenty of fun on 18x8.

Plan on running 15mm front and 25 mm of these

I'll keep ya posted

Awesome, thanks brother! Actually your post made me pull the trigger. Did you go with the bolt-ons with the lugs built in? or did you install extended lugs. Was there any protrusion of your existing bolts that you had to file down?

Getting some coating done before the spacers get here
Ended up going with the recommendation of

So far the communication with the company has been 10/10 for being from China, so far the customer service is top notch.

We'll see how it goes.

Got mine today from tirerack, I'm a sucker for OZ Wheels. This is the 3rd set I have right now. I notice that they didn't individually weight each wheel. (My Alleggeritas had tags with the weight printed on them).

Enjoy ! I love mine. 15/25mm spacers were the exact fitment i was lookin for with them. Interested to hear your feedback after they are mounted.

My word so no owners weighed the actual wheels.... not that it's a huge deal but it helps the few that care.
