Both the Toyota dealers in HRM have 10+ person wait lists that will more than likely cover several years worth of GR Corolla deliveries. Best of luck to you.I didn’t. I’m not one to rush to be 1st.
Once they are out and less chaotic I’ll go in and discuss. If I have to wait a year or more, that’s fine by me.
Oh, you’re one of those guys. Cool. Both the Toyota dealers in HRM have 10+ person wait lists that will more than likely cover several years worth of GR Corolla deliveries. Best of luck to you.
Well say Canada only gets a 1,000 cars a year, then that’s only 3 GR’s per dealer. who knows how it will play out especially with the ongoing parts shortage. I wouldn’t want to be number 20 on a dealer list.Oh, you’re one of those guys. Cool.
You’re right, the GRC will be the same as a McLaren F1. Impossible to buy and if one becomes available, it will be $20m.
It’s a Corolla, no different than a Focus RS, a CTR or a Golf R. All of which you can fairly easily purchase now if you don’t have to have the 1st one of a model year.
And more in 2024, 2025 and probably beyond.Well say Canada only gets a 1,000 cars a year, then that’s only 3 GR’s per dealer. who knows how it will play out especially with the ongoing parts shortage. I wouldn’t want to be number 20 on a dealer list.
I think you will be fine if you are willing to wait. They did mention they plan to have these cars for at least 3 years. Patience is key, but if you want a CE then if you don't have your name on a list currently, you are out of luck. But knowing Toyota, there will be other "special" editions to come out.And more in 2024, 2025 and probably beyond.
This internet hype/fear mongering is ridiculous. There will be cars available to those that want them and have patience. It’s not some sort of unicorn that will never be viewed in real life. It’s a $45k production-line Toyota hatchback ffs.
If by "those guys" you mean "prefers to buy their cars new within 2 years of order date" then yeah. It's not like there's any of those cars you mentioned are coming off the assembly line and sitting on a dealer lot in Canada selling at MSRP for weeks just waiting to be sold. You're just starting to see Supras appear as inventory on dealer lots now in its 4th model year, and that's only because they've ramped up production on a $70,000 2 seater sports car to what GR Corolla manufacturing numbers are expected to be. I think the market for a $45,000 4 door hatchback that can be driven all year round might be a slightly higher. You're probably going to need some luck to be able to walk into a Toyota dealer in Atlantic Canada before say... 2026 and ask about that 2027 GR Corolla that's been on their lot for a week. I could be wrong though.Oh, you’re one of those guys. Cool.
