North Texas Roll Call

Howdy friends!

Figured I'd go ahead and make a thread for North Texas GRC (future) owners and enthusiasts.

I'm in North Dallas suburbs, so I'm in the same boat as many of you guys with dealers not taking reservations/deposits, but I am apparently #1 at a few dealerships, so that's something at least. No idea who will charge ADM and who won't, but I am the type of person who refuses to pay ADM, so I imagine a few of these spots will open up when the dealers give me the bad news. According to the internet, Toyota of Arlington and Toyota of Denton don't charge markup, but I only trust a stealership as far as I can throw 'em, so we'll see how that pans out.

Hopefully we have a decent GRC community in Texas, there are plenty of enthusiasts here!

Same. North Dallas suburbs. Real close to Grandscape/Legacy West.

Thinking if there's enough interest, maybe we can set up a DFW meetup once people start getting their cars.

Howdy! In the HEB area. I also am supposedly #1 on 6 local lists, and #2 for Denton. We will see lol.
Hope we all end up with one.
Sup Guff!

I mostly seen ya on ft86club (maybe in the Facebook groups as well). DFW as well, Irving area. I'm on contact list for a few dealers, still deciding if I want to put a deposit with Rockwall. But yea otherwise I'm hoping to get in a GRC. I'm always reverting to a twin by default over the years so maybe this breaks the streak or I'll order a 22 BRZ.

Twin is always a great place to end up. I'll prob get a used GR86 once the market cools off

:ROFLMAO: I bet. You guys were freezing working in the garage.

I'm finally happy at what Toyota brought to the table with the GRC. It has been a long time since 2007 of rants and disappointments with the other Toyota vehicles.

I'm glad! We can't all keep driving around these old MKIVs

I'm pretty much downtown Dallas. #1 at Rockwall with a deposit down. Trying to hold out for a circuit edition, but we'll see. I've been eyeing the GRC for sure long, but I'm fine with waiting for longer to get the one I (really my wife) want lol. Hope we can ride all shiny and chrome! Maybe we can hit the Twisted Sisters one day?

Old? You mean Legendary. Nonsense, these cars are built to last. Thanks to Toyota Heritage parts, we can also make sure they look new too. :ROFLMAO:

North Fort Worth here!
I’m down for a GRC meet up once some of us get our cars. It’d be fun to meet up with new and future owners and talk turkey.

I’m not in North TX but I’m in the Houston area. My closest dealer isn’t making a list or taking deposits yet. May have to reach out to other dealerships in the area to see if they are.

Most will not take deposits but a few will. I will say that if you haven't deposited already there will likely be quite the queue. After the first weekend after release, there were already a few dozen at a few dealerships. Both Sterling McCall dealerships, Fred Haas Toyota World, Joe Myers, and Mike Calvert took deposits. Joe Myers admitted to at least 20K mark up. Fred Haas said deposits are non-refundable. Best of luck.

That is good to know. I’ll probably be working with dealerships on my side of Houston (Baytown and East TX) than dealing with the larger names that you mentioned around the downtown and north Houston area. I’m looking to grab a CE but if that doesn’t happen then I may stick with the 2016 VW Golf R I am currently driving and simply mod it.

Ah. I hope you can snag one! It'll be tough. I'm sticking it out for a Core if I can't get a Circuit. I'm too much of a diehard Toyota fan not to have this car. 😂
Since Toyota corp is in Texas, they dont have a outlet store for overstock and blems?
Central Texas checking in! #1 at a Austin based dealership with a deposit down, and #1 at a few other dealerships (not local to me, but in Texas) without a deposit. Dealer that took my deposit is a MSRP only dealership, so hopefully they get a CE (they did get 2 launch edition Supras, so odds are pretty good they will get at least one CE).
Im CE or bust, so we shall see!
Checking in from the woodlands (Houston)
