Another joke is people thinking the GR Corolla was gonna start under $30k when the XSE hatchback is already at high $20's
Another joke is people thinking the GR Corolla was gonna start under $30k when the XSE hatchback is already at high $20'sYou guys wanna hear a joke: The CivicXI forum thought it would be under $50k.
In all seriousness, I still don't think this apparent reuputation of Acura dealers not marking up cars will continue with the ITS.
Someone finally brought it up again. The thought process was insane. 😂Another joke is people thinking the GR Corolla was gonna start under $30k when the XSE hatchback is already at high $20's
The Integra fighter would actually be a IS with some type of RS badge and a manual. LolCan we just get a GR Camry already so it can put the Integra to shame. Give it the 2UR-GSE from the IS350 F-Sport and Toyota could call it a day.
This will never happen
Agreed, though it's worth pointing out that everything that separates the XSE from a base hatchback is nothing but fluff that costs Toyota less than $1000 .Another joke is people thinking the GR Corolla was gonna start under $30k when the XSE hatchback is already at high $20's
I heard a lot of those guys think 5k markup is acceptable for the CTR. The ITS is essentially that if you can get it as MSRP. LolYou guys wanna hear a joke: The CivicXI forum thought it would be under $50k.

I also heard a lot of people saying a $60K CTR is a great deal because the CTR would be faster than a Supra on whichever track in the world and more practical at the same timeI heard a lot of those guys think 5k markup is acceptable for the CTR. I hate this argument because unless you're buying a car specifically for track duty only, your car will spend way more time on the road than on trackI also heard a lot of people saying a $60K CTR is a great deal because the CTR would be faster than a Supra on whichever track in the world and more practical at the same time![]()
Your explanation makes sense, because there is no other reason to do this unless required by some regulation. I was number one at my dealer, but contingent on the car having 5 seats. The only thing a little disappointing, the press drives last year all stated this would be a 5 seat car, so I wasted time based on that information that was never corrected by Honda.4-seater is likely due to the GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) which is the maximum weight a car can "safely" handle. Civic Type R has lower GVWR compared to a regular Civic hatchback that seats 5.
2023 Type R weight: 3,188 lbs
2023 Type R GVWR: 3968 lbs
You got about 780lbs to spread out among 4 passengers
2023 Civic HB weight: 2932-3102 lbs (depending on trim)
2023 Civic HB GVWR: 4056 lbs
You got about 954-1124lbs to spread out among 5 passengers
Integra Type S is likely a near identical carry over of the Type R.
It seems that I was actually underestimating the CTR by comparing it with a SupraI also heard a lot of people saying a $60K CTR is a great deal because the CTR would be faster than a Supra on whichever track in the world and more practical at the same time![]()
Apparently this PninFarina guy has never driven an Alpha platform Camaro. It seems that I was actually underestimating the CTR by comparing it with a Suprasomewhere on the internet people are already saying that the ITS would have "driving dynamics" comparable with an Evija/911. Oops!

Local Acura dealership I just softly inquired about, has been calling me non-stop. I entertained a call and found out that they no longer had a list...I got my final quote from my ITS pre-order, almost 70k CAD drive out. I bailed.
