Ongoing project of mine for the past 5 years or so..
1998 Mitsubishi Mirage sedan
Varis Asso Evo 5/6 wider front and rear overfenders
Various carbon exterior pieces
Complete AWD 4G63T swap
Full Evo 5 front and rear suspension
Evo 8 brembos
Carbon door panels, carbon rear seat delete, various other carbon interior pieces
18x10 2-piece Volk SF challenge wheels w/custom carbon skinned lips
285/35/18 tires
A lot more stuff, just didn't feel like doing a complete mod list.
Car is currently taken apart and getting full color change paint job including engine bay and door jams to Honda Sonic Grey Pearl. Engine is currently at inline racing in Houston getting fully built and stroked to 2.2L. Aiming for 750-800whp with a FP Zero turbo.
Enough typing and onto pics..

She is finally home! Now the tedious job of putting old the old parts I removed prior to paint and body... Ugh...

Had some time today to swap in some OEM Evo 5 aluminum front LCA's which were much lighter than the Evo 4 steel ones that were originally on the car. Also threw on the old wheel and tire setup (square set of 18x10 old school 2 piece Volk Racing SF-challenges with 285/30/18 tires). The rear needs to be lowered more, which I will address later this week.

Starting to piece back the exterior to what the car looked like before the full color change.
These pieces are new, and add some more "spice" to the exterior. Carbon hood wind deflector and carbon hood duct/vent.
And before you ask, yes this is a show car. My track car build is my 2 door Suby, and my weekend warrior will be the GRC.

Re-installed the retrofitted LED tails, the carbon ram air vented headlight, along with a little somethin' somethin'...
Sometimes it's the little things that matter the most...

Our of curiosity, does your insurance still say "unmodified" and "1998 Mitsubishi Mirage"?

It's just insured as a mirage, which is why I keep it garaged for 90% of it's life and only taken out for the occasional drive and to car shows.
How much hp??????
Aiming for 750-800

I really like the look of raw carbon fiber, and for the life of me I can't understand why those people with Deep Pockets who buy the supercars and hypercars by them with the carbon fiber bodies painted over, kind of a waste in my book.
Give me raw cf any day.
Even my mountain bike is raw cf, no paint.

It's because hyper car companies charge INSANE money for bare carbon. Granted, if you already have that kind of cash, why not? Koenigsegg charged $500k for bare carbon skin on the Jesko

Not much of an update, but got back the
Evo 6 spoiler base and installed the JDM carbon auto produce boss spoiler blade along with mounting the completed spoiler onto the car.

Didn't even catch this thread before, but I've seen your car (can't remember where).. and this build is amazing. Keep up the work and the updates!
Finally got around to putting all the OEM rear trunk badges on, with the exception of the Ralliart badge. Evo 5's never came with that badge, but thought what the hell it looks like it belongs... Plus an extra badge is an additional 5hp, we all know this! 🤣😂

Been awhile since I updated this. Been real slow with progress, but after waiting a damn year, my custom real carbon overlayed dash is ready for pickup.
Good thing it's mainly a show car as that bling will blind my ass trying to drive.
Also decided to get the front lip on my GC8 done up as well, because why not? 🤷

I was at Radwood and immediately recognized your car... had a good conversation with your guys at the body shop. QUALITY work. I mentioned I might have to send him our "Valenti Aero" wing for installation. Lol.

Car looks amazing in person, excited for you when it's complete!

Thank you for your kind words sir! 🙏
Still waiting on motor, it's been quite awhile since I dropped off all the parts for the engine build.
