Deposit put down last week. Anyone else is friendly Manitoba?

I tried to put a deposit down earlier this week. One dealership said they had refunded a bunch of deposits because they didn't think they would be able to fulfill them. Another said they had about 30 deposits and they weren't taking anymore. Both dealerships indicated they expected to receive a small trickle of cars (maybe like 5 cars a year). Right now it seems I'm SOL.

I visited the dealers on McPhillips and Waverly. I didn't try the other two in the city.

Most Canadian allocations will go to big city dealerships, like first in the GTA Canada's biggest market, then Vancouver, Montreal Calgary etc.

Higher volume dealers will get the bulk of the GRC's.

Higher volume of sales doesn't mean anything as this GRC's are a bit limited (as of now) Everyone should get a piece of the cake. Not just common sense, it's more of the reality. We don't have any clue about the allocation plans unless you got some higher executive from Toyota, lets see some numbers

I live my life based on common sense and Common Sense states that a Toyota dealer in some hick town in Manitoba or Saskatchewan ain't going to get an allocation.

I know I'm late, but I'm pretty sure this guy just referred to Winnipeg as "some hick town". Just to clarify, Winnipeg is the same size as Seattle...
