Guess i shoul introduce myself having signed up for this forum. Was a member of now largely inactive club4ag forums, visit toyotanation fairly frequently which is how i made my way here.
Pops wasnt strictly a Toyota man, when they first came to north america they had some american sedan that he drove dry and destroyed, followed by s Corvair, VW microbus. Then i was born. Need to find the photo of me as a toddler washing our Toyota Corona. Subsequent years there was a VW/Fox Dasher (kinda a pos), Corolla wagon, Honda Accord (pretty decent), Camry, Suzuki Vitara Xl, Yaris.
Parents have passed so in my driveway in my stable i still have the Suzuki and the Yaris is daily. The Toyotas weve had left an impression on me. Landcruiser FJ40 is my beloved first vehicle. Followed by Corolla FX16, of which ive gone through 4 and now only have one as a rally cross vehicle. Celica ST165 Alltac with blown engine sitting in garage. Datsun 510 sedan is cool but serious work. Scion FRS was daily. When GRC comes out it will likely eeplace the FRS and Yaris. Ive had but no longer, a Landrcuiser FJ55 and a Corolla AE86.

Welcoem to the forum @Taroroot! That's an awesome car history you have! Especially the FJ40 as your first one. How often do you compete in rally cross with your FX16?

Hey man, glad to have you. Looks like we’re getting another cool Corolla to be excited over.

Used to be roughly once a month, but politics and covid threw a wrench into it and split the racing organization so im currently eventless.
Bummers because it was awesome fun. My FX16 evolved over the years and now has. 20v ST, Exedy Hypersingle clutch & flywheel, Kaaz 1.5 LSD, Driveshaft shop halfshafts, i broke a bunch of shafts until then and even snapped one of tgeirs, kept cracking motor/trans mt rubber so fabricated mounts with pieces from Ruff sStuff, and then cracked trans case on a hard impact, Koni 1 way adjustable struts installed into corolla strut bodies, with TRD springs. Short shifter cobled together from other corolla kit. Maxxis rally tires on 14” alloys. Momo tiny diameter steering wheel. A/C and heater delete. Emissions delete inc charcoal cannister. Battery relocated to rear, for a while had lithium batteries but was a pia. And last but not least, stainless kitchen sink bolted to underside as sump rock guard!
