Ehhh, I told myself that the first 11 miles on my car were driven pretty hard, all I can do is complete the break in period the best that I can and go from there. Can't change anything about what has already been done.Wow, that confirms my suspicion. I thought 19 miles was a lot of miles. Hopefully mine isn’t the red GR in that Facebook post where the guy at the port took it for a ride. The Porsche I used to own had the ability to store engine data so you could pull the data and see if the engine had ever been over revved. I wonder if our GR‘s have that capability? So far it looks like I have a high mileage at port GR! Lol 19 miles! Thanks guys keep it coming.
Oh that's the worst. Same thing happened when I took delivery of my Rav4 Prime SE. The sales guy, who was otherwise fine, would basically not take no for an answer. He eventually gave up after I firmly told him I'm not doing it and would walk out if he wouldn't take no for an answer. I set everything up when I got home and navigated around to turn off all data sharing. Haven't gone as far as pulling a fuse though.I was told 14 miles, but TBH I didn't check it. Too busy warding off Toyota's demands for my personal data as the sales guy tried to get my car setup with my phone with Toyota's database.

Can you talk more about this? I noticed that my dealer has a “technology expert” on the sales staff and so though that was weird. I didn’t think the new radios would be that complicated. So they basically won’t let you leave until you agree to all data sharing and giving them even more info than they already have?Oh that's the worst. Yeah. They tried to have me download the toyota app and then create a profile. The app connects to your car and sends a bunch of data back to toyota. Things like location if you have an accident, mileage for service reminders, email service if the car detects a fault. Stuff like that. I sure don't want any data like that going back to toyota. It's possible to opt out of all of that stuff but it's a pain to find on the website/app. Lots of threads on other forums about this and how to opt out, pull fuses to disable the module. I suspect the sales people/dealership get a bonus or something for setting people up.Can you talk more about this? I agree, but I was curious as to what other GRs had. I bought many new cars with the mileage less than that but what’s done is done but it’s nice to know anyway.Ehhh, I told myself that the first 11 miles on my car were driven pretty hard, all I can do is complete the break in period the best that I can and go from there.
