I’m from Tampa Florida.
I drive a 2007 MazdaSpeed3, 309hp First owner. 85,000 miles.
I also drive a Tundra for towing my boat and such.

My Project Car is a 2023 GR Corolla with 5 years warranty and as fast as my Mazda. I’m old and want something with some traction That I don’t have to mod. My first new car was a Nissan Sentra SE-R with an SR20DE. 140hp and still the best car I ever owned. I really miss revving for power but those days are gone.

I’ve owned or driven most hot hatches and I love My speed3 but if Toyota gave me full Control of making a new Toyota hot hatch, I think I’d design the GR exactly as it is, maybe lose 200 lbs, add 30hp somewhere? But other then the weight it seems like the perfect car to me. I really hope the press doesn’t over or under praise it. Some of these integra reviews are ridiculousLu one sided. If u pay 9 grand over a civic for that, well I don’t get it And the reviewers seem to think that’s ok.

My big issue with the GR is are we gonna be able to get one at MSRP. I went to my local dealer who knew nothing about it. I don’t want to put money down yet if a core with Tech and Performance pack are gonna be 50k. I don’t think getting the circuit is gonna be possible even close to an option as I’m sure they’ll be over 50.

I am cross shopping with the new Civic Type R but I need to know more before i finalize.

sorry so long.
