Ive been lurking, but decided to join after I left a deposit for a GR corolla at the local dealership! Im first on the list, so will be the first in the area to get one! I'm super excited! Was in the market for a premium manual GR86, but those are impossible to find without a ridiculous markup. Was able to secure my GR Corolla for MSRP with No markup or funny business dealer add ons! I'm happy i get to keep it AWD as my other 2 garage queens are AWD legends in their own right!

Cedar park Toyota (near Austin). Call and talk to Amber. Only problem is if you leave a deposit with them, you will be #3 on the list behind me and another member of this forum. With the supposedly limited release of the car (at least for the 2023 model year), I dont expect all dealerships to even get one allocated to them, let alone 3. But if that doesn't bother you and you dont mind waiting it out, give her a call and tell her Michael (the guy who placed the first deposit on a GRC) sent ya!

Dealers aren't allowed to take a deposit until an official announcement (when they actually have they're allotment along with VINs). I work for Toyota BTW...

Welcome! Hey I’m curious what dealership. I got one already too 1st on list but did they tell you specs already?
It’s not even announced yet. The dealer I’m dealing with in Austin wouldn’t say anything! Where do you live, and what dealer?

Also, your name Tokyo Texan is great. I lived in Tokyo and other areas in Japan for a long time!
Loved it!
