Hey all
New member here, from Saint Paul MN, waiting for the most awesome car that we'll get here in the States. This will probably be the first car I'd buy new, and probably last.
On the Friday after the announcement, I went and put some money down because this is definitely not something I want to miss, unlike the STi.
Anyway. Here's a list of cars that I've owned over the years in general order.
  • 1988 Mazda 323
  • 1988 Mazda 323 GTX
  • 1998.5 Ford Cuntour SVT
  • 1998 Lincoln Mk VIII LSC
  • 2006 Subaru Legacy GT (non Spec B)
  • 2000 Ford Mustang GT convertible
  • 1997 Honda Civic
  • 2012 Subaru Impreza 2.0i
Outside of the Lincoln, all my cars have or had a manual transmission. And I guess I realize that Fords are super cheap, but you get exactly what you pay for in terms of reliability with them.
I currently only have the last 2 cars on that list, and the Mustang is in storage until it gets warmer. Currently, it's 37 and snowing out.

For automotive related hobbies, I play video games. I just love the Forza Horizon series.
As for in the meatspace, I do like detailing my cars.
I don't really modify my cars any more. My Impreza is a basic transportation appliance, and as my daily there's nothing I really want to do other than maybe the sound system as the stock stuff it comes with sounds only marginally better than a battery powered boombox. And the Mustang is a convertible, so it gets all the attention anyway, and I don't really need it to be louder or faster tbh.

Enough rambling.
Hi all. Nice to meet you.

Does this mean you're a fan of VR racing? I've got a VR headset and been considering a racing wheel to go along with it.

In theory, but I don't have a huge setup for it yet. I do have some headtracking through TrackIR that I use for a little bit of iRacing and flight sims.
I don't have a good wheel that I'd recommend.
