Hi Everyone!

Long time lurker on here, but finally decided to make an account to come out of the shadows 👀

My brief history of cars include an E46 M3, a base GR Impreza hatch (non-turbo) with upgraded suspension that I took to multiple autocross events, and an FD RX-7! I currently drive a GT Impreza Sport hatch to soak up the miles from commuting.

I have always been interested in fun/unique cars and wagons/hatchbacks, which explains my history with Subaru. Just like many others, I was waiting for Subaru to come out with a STi hatch, and was heartbroken when the dreadful news came out  The GR Corolla now fills that void! Looking forward to owning one in the near future, hopefully things work out!

Maybe the GR Impreza was a sign of things to come? We'll see!

Thanks @rallycorolla, will keep an eye out! I am in the Lacey/Olympia/Tumwater area and autocrossed through SCCA years ago, hoping to get back into it!

I also want to make it out to The Ridge Motorsports Park in the near future as well, been really interested in time attack events the past few years. Oh the excitement! lol

Ugh I've been wanting to do a proper time attack for a while now! I think the Corolla needs a bit of work before I can confidently spend a whole track day with it though.

Oh you’re in my part of the woods! Who do you have a deposit with?

Agreed! I've been reading into how the GRY owners have been tracking their cars and learning what can be done to the GRC to make it competitive. It'll be tricky to walk that fine line between a streetable daily driver and a competitive track monster.

Oh my, what are the chances?! lol 👋

I'm working with Toyota of Olympia and seeing how things pan out. I have contacted everyone else south of Tacoma, but no luck so far. I'll be okay with not finding one for this round of allocations, but hoping to find one the year after. Would definitely love to see the few around these parts!

I was about to tell you, the owner is going to snag any car that comes in first. Lol.

I just learned that today  Oh wells, I figured my chances are pretty much nil, jumping into the hunt pretty late (early to mid-April). I'm okay with waiting a little bit longer, then I wouldn't have to worry about:
  1. Driving it through the winter this year, and/or
  2. possibly minimize ADM's?

Are you my doppelganger? I've also had an E46 M3, still have 2 FDs -- one that's an autocross car -- and was also waiting for the nonexistent new STI and jumped ship over to the GR Corolla when it got announced.

Good taste, man. Good taste.

Ooh, which autocross events do you go to? Maybe I've seen you around 👀

Just the Snake River region events. I actually haven't been in about two years, but my car should finally be ready for the last event this season.
