I, like many of you have probably put deposits down at multiple Toyota dealerships, so I'm curious to know if anyone has received more than one allocation, and if so what are you going to do with it?
I guess if someone first buys a Core, and then gets an allocation for a Circuit, they will have a tough decision to make.
If one were going to trade in their Core, would the buyer break even on the Core trade, make money, or lose money at this point in the game?

There was the whole drama weeks ago about the guy who bought two Cores and is trying to auction off the bare bones one.

When I went in to my dealer to leave my deposit April, 1st last year my salesman (who is a friend of mine) was writing up my paperwork and asked what model I wanted and I told him Core. He asked why not Circuit edition? I said I wasn't too sure about the look of the hood and roof of the Circuit. He said he thought the Circuit would be a lot better looking and more desirable. So after a minute of thought, I asked if I could leave two separate deposits and be first on both lists? He checked with his manager who said no problem, we want to sell cars. So now I have a Core that just arrived and I will pickup next week and a Circuit model on order that I can decide to take after I see it in person. I will then have to decide which car I want to keep. I honestly think at this point not seeing the car that the Core is better looking in my eyes but will reserve judgement till I see it. And if I like the Circuit better I am assuming I could trade the Core in and the dealer can sell no problem as they have a list of people looking for cars and pretty must break even. Time will tell.

I’m sorry but posts like these make absolutely zero sense and make you look like a greedy fool. That goes for all of the people that are taking delivery of a core with plans to dump it for a CE months later. You are taking cars away from people that truly want them all so you can get a quick fix and get whatever’s hot at the moment.

These cars aren’t a mystery, you know exactly what the differences are between the core and CE. Be an adult and make your decision.

That goes for all of the people that are taking delivery of a core with plans to dump it for a CE months later. You are taking cars away from people that truly want them all so you can get a quick fix and get whatever’s hot at the moment.

These cars aren’t a mystery, you know exactly what the differences are between the core and CE. Be an adult and make your decision.

I, on the other hand, have passed on 3 GRC’s, one in each color, all equipped the same with PP + TP, and all at MSRP, because I’m holding for a CE first. I could have one in the garage right now but ain’t doing that to fellow enthusiasts, bogarting them up, or flipping one, when I know I could. Morals/Values > Flipping/being first. Not everyone out here in these streets are doing that me, myself, and I BS.

My local dealership and the only one I'm on the waitlist with just got their first allocation earlier this month. At this point other dealerships are on their 2nd and 3rd allocations, but I guess that's what happens when your town had less than 100k people lol. My #1 pick is for a CE, but will settle for a Core with the PP. The Core my dealership got in did not have PP and that's why I passed on it.

It's FOMO as well, which is now an epidemic in western society. People have been doing the most irritational, wreckless shit with their money over the last 10 years or so because of this constant fear of not being able to buy or do X again if they don't do it now. For cars it's been people paying ADMs and literally wasting hours upon hours, and spending tons of extra money chasing down cars like its King Midas' gold or something. If the guy you responded too wants to pay ADM, tax, registration, and all the other initial expenses twice within a year, let him.

I got a 4-5 calls from dealers I had inquired at saying they had one available & even got a call a few days ago asking if I was interested in a Morizo. this was all after I had already purchased my Core. not sure if that qualifies as "allocations" but if you are asking if its possible to purchase more than one or if GRC owners may get a call about "upgrading" the answer is yes.

I passed on all of the offers. I'm happy with my loaded core, don't need another and even if the Morizo was MSRP i don't think I would be able to justify the increased cost over a core much less thrash on a Morizo and properly enjoy it without stressing over stuff that happens when cars are treated like cars (vs limited edition collector items)

I only put down one deposit but I did call a lot of dealers.

Nah, don’t think so. I could have made a few g’s easily. Nothing more than a few grand. Too much hassle and I’m not that greedy. And more importantly, I don’t think everything is about me. I’m just not going to do that to someone else who would buy and keep the car. If everyone was doing that oh my, this acquiring nonsense would be way worse. This is worse than the RS and I didn’t think that was even possible.

I'm not sure what I'd do if any of them come to me offering a Circuit. That would've been my first choice, but bird in the hand, and all that...
