Guess I should say hello

I've been lurking long enough, figured it was time to sign up. I've always liked Toyotas, even though I've never owned a performance one. I do currently have an '86 4Runner that I've had for 15+ years though. I am a car nut though. I love turbos. I love AWD. Living in Denver, awd performance cars are always popular. My current cars, in addition to the 4R, is a '14 Outback that I picked up as a fix and flip (needed a motor) that I should be selling here soon, my daily driver '17 WRX Premium that I custom ordered, and a '92 Skyline GT-R. Prior to those, my notable cars have been an '06 Trailblazer SS AWD (no turbo, but it did have a Corvette motor), a 400+ hp Evo IX, a GMC Typhoon and Syclone, and a 250hp Omni GLH-T (if you know, you know).

I've always wanted to track a car, but have only made it to the drag strip a couple of times. I'm hoping to change that if I get a GRC. Depending on price/availability, I'm wanting either a circuit or core with the performance and cold weather pack. My current plan is to sell the Outback asap, sell the WRX if/when my allocation is almost delivered, then turn the GRC into my daily that gets some occasional drag use. GT-R will stay the fun-day car.

I guess that's about it, other than saying I'm on "the list" at 7 dealerships. No deposits, and I laughed and hung up on dealerships that said they were going to sell over MSRP. Hopefully one of those will pan out lol. I'm #1 on one list and #2 on two more. I'm just anxious to see what the prices will be and what, if anything, I will be offered for an allocation. I'm not really lusting after any of the colors, although the heavy metal grey is pretty sweet, so that won't be a deciding factor.

lol, of all the cars I have/had, that's the one you requested 😂. 278k miles. I preventively rebuild the 22RE at 248k miles.

I actually briefly owned an '88 4Runner too until a couple of weeks ago that I was planning on saving, but the previous owner gutted it and the rust was TERRIBLE (I could fit my arm sideways in the rust holes). I ended up parting it so it at least helped keep others on the road.

Yes, because I have a thing with 4runners, I love them, I'm still trying to find one. Those are a beauty once it's restored

Welcome aboard! I had a 2000 SR5 and I really miss it
Ooh let’s see the gtr
If anything, THAT's the one I expected to be asked about 😂. I'm not a fan of the fog lights, but they were a rare factory/dealer(?) option. I'm probably going to remove them and keep them in a well padded box.
