A huge thank you to everyone in this forum new and old who, over the last year, shared so much information and insight about this car!

Friday morning, after a nearly year-long wait, I took delivery of my GRC. I already had a road trip scheduled for the weekend, and I put 880 miles on this thing in two days. I'll share details about everything in the appropriate threads, but I first wanted to say thank you all for helping me land a car that exceeded my expectations in ways I didn't know were possible.

Pulled the trigger on a loaded white cap Core.

I was so on the fence with this thing. Not the GR Corolla in general, but specifically the Core. I don't mind the lack of exterior aesthetics compared to the Circuit, but I had a REALLY hard time with the seats especially coming from a Focus RS and more recently an AMG GLA45 which both have lovely Recaros.

I was planning on waiting for a Circuit as I was totally satisfied with the AMG (incredible little hatchback), but got a call that a loaded Core showed up at my dealer so I decided to check it out on Wednesday. The seats aren't bad, so I decided to list the AMG for sale with the logic of "well, if I can make a good profit on the AMG I can put that money in the Core and upgrade what I want." Listed the AMG on Wednesday, sold it on Friday for a profit, picked up the GRC today. Very satisfied with it, and anxiously getting through the break-in. Also happy to have some additional cash so I can get PPF and tint taken care of ASAP. Very excited to get this thing on a circuit! Mountain roads too, but we've gotten insane amounts of snow in UT this year so that might not happen till Summer.

I do love the gla45 and the cla45 I just was surprised at how difficult it was to find the recaros as options. That and the lack of aftermarket was frustrating to me and the aftermarket parts that did exist were ridiculously expensive

Way more of a daily for sure, I never even tracked it. Wonderful daily though. And I agree, it's hard to find one with the Recaros. I guess many buyers didn't want to fork over $2400 on an already $50k+ hatchback lol

Congrats.
Just curious, did you end up having to pay any adm?

Arrived yesterday, she's still salty but thankful for the factory sealant. Waiting for it to warm up to get pc/ppf. I just finished sending it for the first 30mi tonight (no redline); the shifter is like a hot knife cutting through butter. The throws are similar to my old XRS stock shifter; it was shorter with the TRD tC short shifter (clunky and old though). I haven't driven stick in 2 years, so I was jerking in 1-2 like a noob again 😆

The 1 to 2 shift in this thing is whacky. I've driven many manual transmission cars and never had trouble shifting smoothly from 1 to 2 until this one. I've finally got it figure out, but it took a bit, lol.
