Hahaha it was coming, we all knew it was coming.
Anyway since I already started a future product idea thread and this has come up in EVERY SINGLE FACEBOOK POST!

it seems like something people would like to see.
I am in between 2 ideas:

1) Basic ass armrest with no storage underneath, just a place to rest your elbow when driving especially for long trips
2) Some kind of potentially 3D printed storage tray with an armrest on top, I have not gotten my car yet in order to scan everything and look at potential mounting locations but where there is a will theres a way.

I will try at all costs to avoid anyone needing to drill holes into anything. I also am shooting to keep it as similar to interior colors and such so that its not obvious its aftermarket.

Mine arrived, armrest broken at hinge and latch. Screws and instructions missing.
Shipping box seemed fine, I don't think UPS did damage. They didn't remove the screws and instructions either.
I'm pissed!
Fired off the support email, more waiting..

Update, They say they will ship out a replacement tomorrow. Another week..

Update 2, The screws and clips were not missing after all. Just hiding in the sea of plastic peanuts. I missed them when I was freaking out over the broken armrest.

Update 3, Sxth replaced the broken armrest promptly. Nice support!
I didn't get my shipping information yet and I'm pretty sure I was in the first 100 orders since I placed an order right when it popped up on FB. Seems like they are working backwards, and shipping out the earliest orders last...
Ok, got it in and installed. Is there supposed to be 4 screws leftover? Feels pretty good in place but maybe a touch too high? idk yet.

Also what is that plate that is loose on the front of the actual armest? It makes noise whenever you open and close it.

For comparison I ordered mine April 19th around 11:00PM ET and received it yesterday evening. Mine came through UPS since it was international so maybe they move a bit faster than USPS?

Yes there are screws leftover.

It seems to be some sort of passthrough. Not sure what you would use it for though. I don't think mine makes noise but I haven't actually driven the car yet.

Do you have a photo of the plate

Mine moves a little but how loose are you talking? Is it pushed in fully

Yup, I might just put some foam tape on it

Does anyone else have a defect on the side of the base piece?
My slider piece also has one screw hole that wasn't cut out and one that is decently mangled.
Also, is it normal for the armrest to have a decent amount of side to side flex when it's closed?

I cut a notch in mine and fed a cable for my power inverter through it. It’s now nicely housed in the cubby. The cover doesn’t move or rattle at all.

Mini review from driving last night and my commute today to work:
Rattles a bit, need to put something on some parts to quite them down
I think its a bit too high
I hit my elbow on the armrest cover most shifts unless I "raised" my elbow (6'1 also)
If I keep my elbow closer to the right side of my body I don't hit it but it doesn't feel natural
The armrest moved more towards the back, any more forward would just be more in the way
Not sure if I am gonna keep it but will test the rest of the week

I didn't fully push the armrest forward on the rails and keep the extension all the way back. Didn't have any issues on the way to work.

I did my first drive last night. My big positive takeaway is that I forget it's there unless my elbow is actually resting on it which I think is what you want in an arm rest. No rattles other than things sliding around inside the storage part, but that will be an easy fix. No complaints on the height, but might have more to say on that once I go on a long drive where I would be using it a lot.

Is anyone getting tracking numbers? My order's just said "confirmed" since April.
My garnish is coming before my arm rest kit...

I messaged them a few days ago. Ordered 4/20. This is the response I got.

Hi!
I see that you were wondering why you armrest hasn't shipped out yet, that is because we are still building them everyday, and it will still be a few days before you and others will get theirs😊
April 23rd here.
I’ve ordered mine April 24 and nothing. Kind of makes me wish I just waited to order the insert at the same time as I’ve paid shipping twice for something I haven’t gotten yet.
