May rethink now whether this is worth waiting for now that the GRC is just a WRX and the CE is now just an STI.
You do know the Circuit edition is only cosmetic upgrades if you have the performance pack on the Core, right? lol.

"The 2024 GR Corolla Circuit Edition will carry over SOME of the standard features of the 2023 model, complete details will be announced later this year."

Hmmm.... I'm curious what they plan to add, or take away for that matter.

I am willing to bet there will not be an armrest haha y’all are way to hopeful. That would involve a lot of interior changes and is completely not cost effective.
I can confidently say after owning the car for 2-months that I do not miss the armrest for comfort. I only miss the storage that it would provide.

STILL HAPPY ABOUT MY POVERTY SPEC CORE MODEL!!!!! As that dope savagoose called it.
Same. Core+PP is the best value if you just want the performance or a nice daily driver. I'm still going to trade my Core for a final year model special edition if I get a chance though, lol. I plan to keep one of these long term, and in that case I might as well get a "special" one.

I'm in the same boat. The only reason I'll ever get rid of my current GRC is if a version comes out with significant upgrades that I'd like to upgrade to. I may have to get on some lists now if I hope to upgrade at some point though.
I'm already back on the list at my preferred dealer. I would jump on that if I were you. I have no obligation and they didn't even make me put in another deposit since they know I'm good for it now. I'm first on the list for the 2025/2026 model year, but if they keep producing them past then I'll probably wait until the final year.

Final year maybe 2030 or 2032, can you wait that long? lol.. Just kidding
Yes I can. I have a Core for now and I'm happy with it. :ROFLMAO: If they run until 2032 I'd expect some SERIOUS improvements all around, lol.

Again, for those holding out for a CE.

Suede interior gets worn out quick especially the steering wheel. Gloves or not, you might as well buy 2 spare steering wheels or cover the steering wheel lol.
The CE doesn't have the Alcantara steering wheel and shifter. That's the Morizo only. Same wheel in the CE as the Core. The seats will be a bugger to keep nice in the CE though.

I don’t agree with this, My Supra seats were exactly the same and I never had an issue keeping them clean and after a year of daily driving they hadnt worn at all
Good to hear. I've never owned a car with alcantara seats, I've only heard horror stories. I take delicate care of my cars so maybe mine will stay nice when/if I get a car with them.

And that's ignoring the weight savings for the roof (maybe 5 lb?) which, minor as it may be, has performance benefits as well.
Toyota already said that the carbon roof saves "precious ounces" of weight so it's negligible lol. I'm pretty sure a loaded core actually weighs LESS than a circuit by a small margin. Someone will have to correct me on that if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain I saw that somewhere.

Edit: Found it

north america is the only market that gets the core edition. all the other markets get the 'circuit edition'. it's just a way for toyota to advertise the starting price to be 36k. when in reality, most cores are 40k since they're loaded up.
I figure they'll all come loaded in the coming model years. We'll see I guess.
