The GR Corolla before the GR Corolla! Pretty awesome to see the G16e dropped in a old chassis! I’m sure this little Levin is insanely quick with the added power and lighter engine. Can’t wait to see the final product.

Would love to see how the finished product does on the strip. Was honestly debating getting a G16E for myself to mod now and put in the GRC later and have the stock as a back-up

It’s turning out to be a great power plant, I can only imagine how fast that Levin will be.

If we end up getting the GRMN version in the GRC you might have to wait and snag that one as a spare. Lol. Pretty exciting though

Nice and there is so much more room with that G16E. That thing is going to rip when it's completed.

Forget B16 and 2JZ swaps, let's do G16 swaps!

G16E is gearing up to be a modern 4AGE for sure, minus a cylinder. 😂

I mean we knew from the start it was going to be a killer motor. A motor made for WRC made by a company that is known for overbuilding their engines? Hell yeah, who cares if it's only 3 cylinders

Well it was still pretty unheard of for the most part outside of a few examples! It’s also surprising considering Toyota makes their vehicles hard to crack (ecu) to maintain reliability these days.

Hell, I'm still shocked how great Motive Video is doing with their Yaris, especially with how little they've actually done to make the power

Whoa, let's not get ahead of ourselves. :ROFLMAO:

The G16 is going to be modern day swap motor like the K20 was. I can't wait until the endless U.S based shops get their hands on it and start making aftermarket parts. This would be perfect in an SW20 MR2.

Well a K swap is common for Hondas, they literally have a K series still in their Type Rs for example and have a crate for it. Lol

for a Toyota it was 2jz and for smaller cars the 4AGE/Beams/2zz etc! So seeing the G16e being dropped into a old Corolla is kinda where I got that from.

I wondered how they were going to get the downpipe past the steering shaft! Looks like they went with full time turbine outlet monitoring.
If Toyota puts this engine in to the GR86, I'm buying one.

I hope they put it in a lot more fun cars

Daddy Motorworks in Japan has swapped the GR Corolla/GR Yaris' G16E engine in a AE86.

A G16E would be a perfect swap for an EP91 or EP82 Starlet!

Many old FWD hatchbacks would become monsters with this engine

EG and even EK Civics will be another perfect contender

Scion iQ!
Might be a tight fit but if Aston Martin can stuff a V8 in that egg, a slightly larger 1.6 would do just fine (yes this thing is real and made officially by Aston Martin)

The 4.7 L V8 sourced from the V8 Vantage makes over 400 horsepower. If the G16E STOCK produces 300 horsepower, putting that in THIS will make this thing accelerate faster than most supercars even some bikes! G16E swaps will make Hayabusa swaps inferior for anyone who wants to make small cars like these into rockets without using a large and heavy engine
