Hi all, I’ve been following this forum closely since its inception now and loving all the excitement around the upcoming GR Corolla.

We have the GR Yaris here in Australia but I currently drive an 86 which I absolutely love but it just hasn’t been too practical at times! The Yaris I don’t think would help much in that department either but this is where the GR Corolla jumps in !

I’ve had 2 Corollas previously including an old 2002 Hatchback I kept for 5 years before the 86 and it never did me wrong. Have always been a Toyota man and just super happy to finally see a modern day performance variant of this awesome car.

Anxiously waiting for the reveal !

hahaha of course I’ve seen that ! Thankfully Toyota has already trademarked ‘GR Corolla’ in Australia and from what I hear it is not a matter of if but when. Will definitely be after the US gets it thought, the Yaris has been a huge success here it would be a shame not to bring the Corolla with Japan so close

Lol, kinda funny someone would be pinning for the GR Corolla when you can get the GR Yaris. I imagine NA is getting them first, then maybe offered elsewhere. Plus you guys drive funny.

I can confirm it is coming to Australia. I talked to my local dealer and it is already in their system for vehicles coming up but they can't place the orders yet. So we get both the GR Yaris and the GR Corolla. Best of both worlds. It must suck to not have that option in other parts of the world....

I can confirm it is coming to Australia. I talked to my local dealer and it is already in their system for vehicles coming up but they can't place the orders yet. Australia seems like the place for enthusiasts. You guys get utes for christ's sake. Plus you guys got all the JDM legends or were able to import them early. Now you're getting the GRC on top of the GRY? Pretty unfair to me 😂

Man. If performance utes were a thing state-side, I'm throw every hatchback I've ever dreamed about out the window. Utes get a lot of hate, but boy do I love them. I shopped for a Subaru Baja Turbo for ages, but they're so freaking expensive anymore.

If the Baja was a 2-door and built better, I'd consider one. The BRAT is my all-time favourite Subaru. The owner had a Brat for a bit and sold it for $15k with a lot of work needed still so I didn't offer
