I want to make visible to aftermarket companies that may be looking here that there's demand for bulges in their aftermarket hoods. It's my favorite part of the GR Corolla that isn't available on core editions.

I could go without those bean shaped vents though, or maybe a redesign if they want to put some sort of ventilation in it, so long as there's built in channels to properly draw rain away from the internals.

Personally, I'm really leaning towards CE, but if I end up with a core I would leave it as is. Focus my attention more on sway bars, wheels/tires, other stuff.

I would consider a Forged CF hood in the same pattern as the roof for the CE, but if I get a Core, I would probably keep the sleeper look.

It wouldn't be my first mod but if a vented hood came out that I found aesthetically pleasing then I would probably snag it.

Can't say it's high on the list, but I do like the look of the bulge. OP you should add "probably, at some point" to the voting options

I would really need to hold myself back from any mods but all of the GRC's are good to go in their stock form. I'm at the point of my life where if I'm not sponsored by a shop that's offering at a huge discount or even given it away for free to test, I'm not planning to just enjoy the car until I need to modify something.

Yes 100%. The CE bulged hood is cool, but personally I'd prefer the drop vent hood that was floating around the rumor mill in JP before we got the actual leaks (as long as the extractor is actually functional).

Also can we all just take a sec to appreciate how accurate this early speculative image was? It's like, pretty much dead on minus a couple small details. Bumpers dead on, fenders dead on. Only differences were the stamped skirts, hood vent style, wing and center exhaust. Amazing, must have come from an inside source.

I'm willing to bet we're going to have numerous aftermarket aero options within a year or two or release.

I think Toyota did it right on this hood with the bulge and vents. If I couldn’t get one from Toyota, I’d buy the closest thing I could find to the stock CE hood.

If I end up with a Core, I'll probably settle with the stock hood. The car is plenty aggressive without the bulge, imo. That said, if I could get a paint-matched bulge without the hood vents (which look a little tacky imo), I would consider it. I subtle hood scoop would be nice too, but I don't want to get too cozy with WRX owners

Problem with aftermarket hoods is majority don't fit right leaving gaps. But any aftermarket corolla or corolla hatch should be PnP.

That's a dope hood... And Seibon makes pretty decent fitting carbon pieces.

Probably not. I'm kind of a function over form guy. If I have money to spend on mods, purely cosmetic things come last. Unless the bulge provides some kind of benefit, it's going to be far down my list.
