oof. yeah i hope they use simple hardware to mount the license plate on the front. thats what i'm also dreading
Good point.Once I've got one allocated, I'm going to ask that the dealer not drill holes in the front bumper for license plate mounting.
I'm hoping the aftermarket releases a tow hook plate mount for the front bumper. It doesn't look like there is much space to mount this way without blocking the GR logo or the fog light though.. I believe the cut-out for the tow hook is just to the right of the GR logo, concealed by the honeycomb shape of the grill

This, and F right off with the damn tire shine! If already told my dealer if they drill the front plate I’ll set the building on fire.
I use 303 protectant on my tires, dashboard etc, low shine and protects from uv damage. This, and F right off with the damn tire shine!
It’s going to scratchUnless the aftermarket pulls off a miracle given the awkward position of the tow hook mount, anyone thinking of resorting to zip tying it on the left side instead?
That looks so much worse than just mounting it normally.Unless the aftermarket pulls off a miracle given the awkward position of the tow hook mount, anyone thinking of resorting to zip tying it on the left side instead?
"Oh no officer, my plate was stolenI've gotten pulled over once in Cali. Had to submit proof of installation and pay the fine.
Once I did that, off came the plate again.
It's not strictly enforced here. It just depends on the cop's mood
"He also filled the drilled plate holes and matched paint!""Oh no officer, my plate was stolen"
