Front license plate mount/drilling bumper

Once I've got one allocated, I'm going to ask that the dealer not drill holes in the front bumper for license plate mounting.

I'm hoping the aftermarket releases a tow hook plate mount for the front bumper. It doesn't look like there is much space to mount this way without blocking the GR logo or the fog light though.. I believe the cut-out for the tow hook is just to the right of the GR logo, concealed by the honeycomb shape of the grill

Good point.
I do this with any new car I buy, but thanks for the reminder.
Now all I need is an allocation.😉
I'm just going to yeet the front plate. Never been pulled over for not having one in Cali since I've had my license. YMMV

considering majority won't be driving theirs or lack juan; that is a legit thought process
I don't have a front plate on any of my cars. 🤭

Yeah we had a talk about this in another thread. Looks like that's where the tow hook cover is, sad that a plate would block most of the GR badge

If already told my dealer if they drill the front plate I’ll set the building on fire.

I have been pulled over and ticketed for no front plate here in Colorado.

I have a tow hook license plate bracket on one of my cars - to avoid the license plate holes.
Best bet is probably gonna be to get one of these super adjustable ones and move it around and see what's best, at least in the beginning. Maybe someone will come up with a better way to mount them eventually.

Glad my province doesn't have this rules of putting a front plate. All our vehicles doesn't have one

I use 303 protectant on my tires, dashboard etc, low shine and protects from uv damage.
Great product.
Unless the aftermarket pulls off a miracle given the awkward position of the tow hook mount, anyone thinking of resorting to zip tying it on the left side instead?

It’s going to scratch
A guy I met a few years back had trimmed his plate so it was about the height of a Euro one, but he had found a nice plain frame for it so it looked pretty legitimate. I might try that if I can find a frame the right size (or 3D print one) if I start getting hassled too much for not running a front plate.

That looks so much worse than just mounting it normally.
I've gotten pulled over once in Cali. Had to submit proof of installation and pay the fine.
Once I did that, off came the plate again.
It's not strictly enforced here. It just depends on the cop's mood.
