In Ohio, you get a "memorandum title" until the loan is satisfied, then you get the actual physical title. I'm happy to have paid cash for mine. Title is in my possession.
Memorandum title? Reminds me of Idiocracy “Water? You mean like from the toilet?”In Ohio, you get a "memorandum title" until the loan is satisfied, then you get the actual physical title. I'm happy to have paid cash for mine. Title is in my possession.
Starting sometime in the last few years, now (here in Ohio) they only mail you a letter as proof of lein release. You take that to the title bureau and you have to pay 16 or 18 dollars for the physical copy.In Ohio, you get a "memorandum title" until the loan is satisfied, then you get the actual physical title. Your ability to get one of these at MSRP is heavily tied to the area you're in and sheer luck. I managed to get mine for MSRP in Alabama, but that doesn't mean someone in California will be able to due to demand in the area and scummy dealers. Many dealers are no longer selling to out of state buyers so travelling a few states over for an MSRP car is less of an option nowadays too.How do these still go above MSRP on bidding sites, when people are still posting on FB getting them at MSRP?
just people with money who don’t want to wait or what?
Exactly, places like New York and Cali are still selling from a little to a lot over MSRPYour ability to get one of these at MSRP is heavily tied to the area you're in and sheer luck. I want to know what his mark up was that’s the part I’m curious aboutWell, the auction broke MSRP. Hope it stops rising like the last one did.
I wouldn't even say CA. I saw on a specific to Houston FB group for the GRC that one dealer is still asking 20k over MSRP for a Core (or someone bought it for that, the FB post wasn't very clear). considering I don't think there have been 20 allocated to all Houston dealers since release though, I can kind of see this. the allocation spreadsheet says only 6 have been sold in Houston, so maybe something between 6 and 20. I know my dealer still hasn't seen a second.Your ability to get one of these at MSRP is heavily tied to the area you're in and sheer luck. I can’t stand that guy. He’s got zero idea what it takes to develop a car like this. On a core I bet Toyota is loosing money on every one soldFair enough, rambling video about car, can’t keep car because he wants to keep racing his spec track car and Toyota killed exterior design etc but Toyota failed because he can’t afford to keep it because 40k is too much. (Doesn’t mention what he paid)
I’m surprised it went up that much at the end. It was stuck at 41 for solid days.Sold for $44,679. So less than the last one but still over MSRP. Add the C&B buyer fee and you're at ~$47k. Still better than the majority of dealers out west![]()

He was very specific to not mention what he bought it for. I’m going to guess not msrpIf the guy paid MSRP for the car, he basically just recouped his entire expenditure including taxes, roughly speaking. If he paid a markup, then he probably lost his ass.
I’m nearly positive that the people who are buying morizo are probably not using it as an “only car” there might be a few, but overall I feel like the majority will have other vehicles to use regularly.I think it's safe to say at this point, for Cores at least, anyone who is selling these so soon after purchase are just not feeling the vibe of the car.
after watching the first auction not go fireworks, and then watching the dude who bought two, and was trying to sell one as the Akio Toyoda special edition.
flippers have to know there is no short term gains to be had here.
the Morizo and Circuit.. guess we'll see what happens there.
