Does anyone know if the Core model comes with navigation or is that part of the tech package?

Tech package.

Or you can use Apple Car Play.
“A $770 Technology Package adds an 8-speaker JBL audio system, navigation, and wireless smartphone charging.”
That’s from reviews I’ve seen. But without the tech package you still have the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. I have never found car navigation to be great. No live traffic or construction awareness and you have to pay to get it updated.

I'm surprised they even bother making their own navigation anymore

Can you use AA/CP wirelessly now or do you still need to be plugged in?
Both are wireless.
Did you read this in a review or something? The current corollas don't have wireless CP or AA. I would be surprised to see it added on the GRC but not impossible. .
That's why I was wondering, all the rentals I've had recently (I haven't been able to get a Corolla or any Toyota yet though) it has to be wired. Which imo makes the wireless charger thing not very useful.

I've seen it a few of the reviews. It's also mentioned in this press release from March - Heat for the Streets! Toyota Debuts First-Ever GR Corolla - Toyota USA Newsroom

If you google GR Corolla and "wireless apple CarPlay" you get a ton of references.

Oh very cool! I can't stand plugging in my phone every time. That is exciting.
Im curious if the wireless charging spot is just 'enabled' when you get the tech package and was installed already or if there are aftermarket options to get it.

I'm certain the wiring is there but the charger and associated parts aren't. Subaru does a similar thing with CD players
Does anyone know if the tech package is included as standard in Canada?
