When I first saw a reel of the car and its "sound" I thought is was a troll meme lol. The car looks great and I'm sure it'll perform better than the current Mopar boats, but please no fake audio. So so bad.
Pretty sure it's artificial. It sounds like they tried to make it sound like a cat and also a hellcatThanks I Hate It

Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept EV Packs 'Banshee' Power And Retro Styling | Carscoops
The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept is expected to spawn a production model in 2024www.carscoops.com
The car looks fine, but that 'exhaust' kills it for me. If it's somehow a naturally occurring sound being funneled out, I might be okay with it, but if it's just some noise they came up with in R&D and are pumping through speakers...
Also. 126db?! Why??
Or (for an older reference) Wes Harrison. He joked about using a PA system in his car to make sounds while driving. He may have been crazy enough to actually do so.Need Police Academy dude to ride along with a megaphone.
Yeah, I actually really like the engineering that went into the design of the car.Naturally everyone is focused on the gimmicks, but what I think is really cool is how the fascia is actually an aerodynamic passthrough. It allows a "square" front end with lower drag and perhaps a bit of downforce. I was actually hoping for a while some brand would do this.

Charger Daytona SRT Concept: Striking, heritage-minded, and a bit gimmicky - Hagerty Media
The all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept combined vintage muscle car motifs with futuristic flair.www.hagerty.com
Idk apart from powertrain this is way more Charger-esque than the 4 door commuter Dodge put the name on in the past. As long as you can shut down the audio it should be a fantastic coupe like the original.Yeah, I actually really like the engineering that went into the design of the car.
My biggest issue with the car is the marketing. They're trying hard to push this as a continuation of the muscle car era, when it goes against most things that muscle cars stand for. Hell, that same marketing is the reason we have a 126 db "hellcat-esque" sound coming from some speakers outside the car.
