Stock fog lights are junk..so I am upgrading them. Diode Dynamics makes a SAE complaint fog with MUCH brighter output and better beam pattern.
Fun little project, I'll update as I complete it.

Scanned the OEM bumper so I can create a flush mount bezel.

Template for cutting. Big light.. tight fit.

CAD designed, resin printed(TESTER ONLY) final will be PA12 nylon

Perfect

New VS stock

Incredible how things can be done like this now. Ever try making a form from your 3d prints and doing carbon fiber?
Most 3d printers can print in carbon fiber (well, ABS with carbon fiber fillers)
I assumed the OEM fogs were from the Toyota parts bin.
Seems like you're right. PN seems to cross reference to Rav4, CH-R, Highlander and Prius.

Yeah Toyota probably made a metric ton of OEM fog lights and used them across multiple platforms to save money.

Had a little time to paint the bezels and tow hook cover gloss black. I think it turned out pretty good. Next is to pull the bumper and install.

Looks professional. I would go ahead and print 4 more of those plastic bezels, just to have around in case a freeze or rock impact breaks one. Curious how the 3-D printed plastic will hold up in the various environmental conditions. But, I would think that the paint should keep it from drying out and becoming brittle. Great job! Take some shots of the light cone at night, it’d be cool to see how much they improve visibility over the originals.

Looking forward to seeing it on the car, this is exactly what I'm looking to do on mine. Some aftermarket support would be great for a plug and play solution.

Thanks!
Worst case, I have the file and can make more.. but the material they are printed out of is very strong;

Sheesh, 3D printed material has come a long way from the original brittle stuff it used to be. I had assumed you had found something good, but that’s straight up bananas. Glad to hear it!

Finally got some time to finish this project.
New brackets I designed to bolt into stock fog light mounting holes

Mounted up

I think they blend in pretty good

on

only output pic I have, but they are super bright. I tested the LUX output of OEM VS SS3 max and the diode’s were 10X more than stock. :O
Next is to retrofit some better projectors in the headlights, I can’t stand the cutoff “V”

If you ever decide to sell some of these as a kit to the forum sign me straight up.
Amazing work!
