Dash Settings not saving?

Anybody have an issue where you configure the three dash views and cluster settings but the changes don't save? Every time I turn off the car any custom config I made is lost.

I have the same thing. luckily my primary screen saved just fine, but I set up one to have fuel average, and also tire pressure. the fuel average saved, but the tire pressure didn't so now I have fuel average on both sides.

very random.

Yep, screen 1, right box, I want tire pressures and it keeps resetting. Both 1st and 3rd screens were having trouble but now it seems like the 3rd screen is keeping all settings.

When I got to work today I fixed the screen to show tire pressure, turned the car off, waited 10 seconds then turned it back on and it was still showing tire pressure. I feel like I did something like that right before the 3rd screen took for good. It might be a way around the bug, will report back if it's still saved when I go out around noon.

Not sure if also a bug or a feature but it annoys me how the odometer readout reverts to the odometer when I start the car instead of staying on whatever trip A/B I'm on when I shut the car off.

It seems like it's mainly the TPMS screen that has the problem. Whether I put it on screen set 1, 2 or 3, left or right it resets. Other stuff seems to be fine.

Is anyone here having trouble with different screens resetting? Or if it's your TPMS screen, are you currently using original wheel set TPMS or a winter wheel set?

Odd thing happened today, TPMS setting saved. I didn’t change anything else, just fixed it in the AM on the way to work and it stayed after several long periods turned off between starts.

Maybe software updated? Doesn’t look like it says anywhere if or when it updated last.

I've also been running into this issue recently, though I could have sworn that it saved correctly for the first couple weeks I had the car. I'm going to try removing all other info displays from the option list for that side on that screen to see if it works or just ends up screwing everything else up.

This is one of the issues I was discussing the other day with a Field Technical Specialist from Toyota. I told him that I had never seen it save tire pressure display for more than one key cycle, and it was a very rare occurrence that it even did that. He brought up the issue of memory time, such as time between key cycles when it's saved, and asked me if I could try to get him more specifics. Since the wife and I have both been home sick and not going anywhere, my car has just been sitting in the garage. So I spent the last day and a half going out and trying to cycle the key at various time increments to see what I got. The results are interesting, and I plan to reach back out to him today with what I found. For those of you who are also experiencing it, try this. Have it displaying tire pressure before you shut the car off. When you go to leave again, get in the car and hit the power button without pressing the brake or clutch, so that it goes to ignition on but doesn't start the car. Let the dash populate, and see if it's still displays tire pressures. Then, push the clutch pedal and start the car. What I have observed, is that if I go to ignition on without starting the car initially it will continue to display tire pressures. However, if you just get in the car, depress the clutch, and push the start button, it will revert back to MPG display. On a couple of occasions, when just powering it on without starting it, I saw it pop up the MPG display, but then it would revert back to tire pressure within a couple of seconds! Under these conditions, it's saved the tire pressure display for me for more than 24 hours and more than 10 key cycles . So at least from my observation, if you power the car on without starting it initially, and wait for the dash to populate, it will save the tire pressure display. Clearly, you shouldn't have to do this, and it's a software glitch, but I believe it's information that the engineers will find useful. So I'm going to report back to them today on what I observed. I also mentioned the fact that even when you disable speed link lock through Techstream, it's still locks. So hopefully these things will get addressed with a software update, although it may take a hot minute for that to happen.

That's interesting, because as long as I just did ignition on without starting the car, the tire pressure display came back every time, even after sitting overnight. It's when I start the car immediately that it goes to MPG. I hope someone else will try it as well and see if they get similar results. Do you have it displaying tire pressure when you shut the car off?
