Turns out, they were taking deposits, as they had already taken 6, and I wasn't one of them. To add insult to injury, there was no apology. Even after leaving a negative Google review, where I was promised they would "try to make it right," and the sales team would reach out to me, I have yet to receive a phone call.
I currently drive a Mk7.5 Golf R, which is a pretty darn good vehicle, so this late in the game, I had reconciled that I wouldn't be getting a GR Corolla any time soon.
This morning, after some more videos released, I couldn't help but feel I REALLY wanted a GR Corolla. For kicks and giggles, I looked up all the Toyota dealers in my state (South Dakota). I ended up finding one that not only would agree to sell at MSRP, but hadn't actually had anyone call about it, much less put a deposit down. While the dealer still can't order one, I have now put a deposit down for a Core with all three packages. "Crisis" averted.

Congrats to you! It's awesome that you were able to get a reservation this close to the release date. I am looking to get together with other GRC owners in the ID/MT/WY/SD area once we get delivery and do a drive

Nice, good luck with it. My brother just bought a 2022 Corolla SE from them and said they took care of him. I think he paid a $2k ADM for it, but it was to avoid waiting a few months for a new oneEdmark

Yeah, I'm near you in Spearfish. You must be one of the one's who got onto Cory's list at Denny Menholdt? Still frustrated about that. I'd imagine yours will come before mine. I got lucky with Watertown at Sharp Toyota, but I guarantee their volume is lower so it'll probably be awhile yet for me.Awesome! I'm also in South Dakota.
