Since I finally acquired my GRC today I figured I’d start my official build thread and update as the car progresses.
I plan on documenting pretty much everything, modifications, track days (1/4mi and track, I’m in Bowling Green KY right now for work so I have Beech Bend and NCM), designing parts in CAD as well as how they’re made etc. I’m a design engineer by trade so the GRC parts are just a fun side project for me.

This is going to be a freaking blast! Im coming from a MKV Supra so this will be a fun change, I know my dog thanks me for not having to sit in the front seat anymore haha.

Anyway here some pictures from delivery day, the first one was from when I happened to drive by the dealer in the morning and the rest are from when I actually went to pick her up.
The paint overall is pretty clean but there’s some light microabrasions in the clean that I’ll be polishing out before I ceramic coat her.

Very nice. I'm still on the fence about it on mine. Seems like 1/2 of the cars in Denver will have them lol
So like 5 cars will have it LOL. Compared to the metric fuckton of regular Corolla hatchbacks with the same stock hood, I’ll take the former.

I called every dealership in Colorado when they were announced. Think there were 14 or so.

Heck, I know of someone, I think they are/were on here, who bought in Denver and drove home to Utah I believe it was

That surprises me less lol that’s why dealers were saying no out of state sales lmao

There was one dealer in a small mountain town that wouldn't sell to anyone who wasn't a local. I thought that was pretty cool of them to do.

That’s very rare but good to see. I just called on a circuit one state over who’s 30 miles from another dealer. Both in Tennessee, ironically the dealership in Nashville was msrp and the smaller one wants 10k above

Got her washed up today and the intake reinstalled since I had to pull it off for the dealership visit for the cyclic noise haha I MAY have some test fitting new parts coming up soon 😅🤫🤫

Picked up the hood stickers (except 2 on backorder) as well as the clips that attach to the vents to keep the water channels in place and some other odds and ends pieces that aren’t really “necessary” but I want it to look oem. I was thinking about it and I’m starting to realize with where the water channels seems to be putting water on the drivers side, I wonder if some of these open element designs are taking into account that if they’re not careful they’re going to be dumping water DIRECTLY onto the filter. I’ll do some testing and see where it funnels water on my car. It would be interesting to see changes needed for CE vs core because of the hood

Can you take pictures of where these are supposed to go? I thought I got everything needed, but am along the same lines as you and want it to look OEM.

Go check out that Morizo at Urban Motors on Federal, and take some pictures (and measurements) of the stickers on that.

I have NO idea WHAT you’re talking about 😅😅😅 I’m definitely not thinking about a WRC hood channel out of the drivers side vent that integrates into my intake lid and becomes ram air lol

FINALLY got the windows tinted. 5% all around and 35% on the front windshield. Changed the whole car and I don’t feel like I’m in a fishbowl. Now I have to kill 3-5 days before I can wash the windows and wash the whole car.

Nice. Is that ceramic?

I still need to get mine tinted. My normal guy is between shops.

No I just did a carbon 2-ply. It’s warrantied and the place that did it has shops in Colorado Springs so I’ll be good for warranty work. It’s warrantied for life.
