Since I finally acquired my GRC today I figured I’d start my official build thread and update as the car progresses.
I plan on documenting pretty much everything, modifications, track days (1/4mi and track, I’m in Bowling Green KY right now for work so I have Beech Bend and NCM), designing parts in CAD as well as how they’re made etc. I’m a design engineer by trade so the GRC parts are just a fun side project for me.

This is going to be a freaking blast! Im coming from a MKV Supra so this will be a fun change, I know my dog thanks me for not having to sit in the front seat anymore haha.

Anyway here some pictures from delivery day, the first one was from when I happened to drive by the dealer in the morning and the rest are from when I actually went to pick her up.
The paint overall is pretty clean but there’s some light microabrasions in the clean that I’ll be polishing out before I ceramic coat her.

what product are you using for the ceramic coating? ive got the nagging feeling that pro level ceramic coating is on a different level than what us normies can buy, but that could just be the marketing getting to me.
I started with Dino wax ceramic, and it was absolutely phenomenal, and I talked to the guy who was their chemist for lack of a better term, and he never once mentioned any difference between what they sold to professional detailers versus what they sold to the average consumer, I’ve also used the adams ceramic, the Adams graphene coating and the adams wheel coating. I used the graphing on the car and the wheel coating on the wheels obviously. I also used the traditional ceramic on the brake calipers.
Cusco GRY front sport flaps arrived from Japan. Will be installing today or tomorrow for fit confirmation. View attachment 7215
Did those fit?
Did those fit?
They did fit with some small modification and personally for the price. I think it’s well worth it and I do like the way that they fit if you look at the mudflaps thread on here there are some details. Page 3

Got V2 of the arm rest installed today. This is a 2 piece solid fill 3d print base and it still feels solid af. I replaced the oem push rivets with square license plate brackets using bolts and washers. They fit nearly perfect into the oem holes under the rubber mat and the click when they fit in is so satisfying. I’m editing a video that shows the new installation and also shows driving with the arm rest height since people had asked me about it.

I'm personally not a fan of shifting while resting my arm, and luckily it seems short enough that I might not have to, but your dark video had made me a little concerned til I watched your driving video.

Great job!

Yeah, I apologize for the lighting, my gopro tends to angle things oddly and it was the gloomiest day we have had in KY in awhile with the constant rain and I was parking in my garage since I figured that the rain in the background if I pulled outside would be even worse.

My buddy who did the photo shoot sent me some more photos today and I got the sheet metal samples of the exhaust blockoffs so those will be put into a new video shortly.

Took her to the drags yesterday for test and tune. I definitely need more seat time but I did 10 passes over 2 hours with no awd overheat issues and no cool down time either. Only time the car wasn’t going was if I was in the staging lanes waiting to go again.
Im still working on the launch which is where my time is suffering. My 60’ needs a lot of work but squeaked off a 13.9 at 101mph.
dropping my 60’ with a higher rpm launch or sidestepping the clutch 😬 should get me down to the 13.6-13.7 region.
mill have a video up today or tomorrow.

Parts arrived today to do some test fitting. 3D printed and glued together so obviously just for test fitting not performance.

Can you do a size comparison between this and the stocker?
Can you do a size comparison between this and the stocker?
I mentioned in the other thread and I go over it in the video but it’s almost an inch thicker, will have cast end tanks and is about the same height
