Only issue with the previous car design was customization.Way too tame for me for sure. I would prefer the outgoing current design over that new one. Not that it's not a nice car, but its brought way down to TRD camry levels imo.
I mean, it would be cool but all the regs and stuff today keep certain designs from happening. I think Honda is pretty smart with the Civic, what they’ve done with the car for its entire life is something Toyota should’ve been doing with the Corolla. Thankfully Toyota started doing it now.I wish manufacturers would stop with the "retro" styling and just bring back popular chassis of old and just update the interior, lighting, and drivetrain. Imagine Honda bringing back the EG and EK hatches of yesteryear except with modern style interior, lighting, and a Kseries (hell even that boosted 1.5L that they are throwing in everything nowadays).
Now that's really "retro" compared to some of the "retro" inspired garbage being produced nowadays.
To me the front on the new one looks really good, kind of like a better version of the fk8 front end, but the rear just isn't that good. I feel like Honda designers have struggled with Civic rear ends since adopting the coupe/hatch body style.Way too tame for me for sure. I would prefer the outgoing current design over that new one. I know right? They need to let Sir Mixalot give them some inspiration for designing rear ends... Yep. I really don't like it. Way too boring. I loved the last gen and yeah, it's boy-racery but it actually has the chops to back it up (unlike most race inspired cosmetic enhancements).Looks like a current production accord
UK is going to be limited just due to changing regulations I'm guessing. NA should just be similar to prior years.Looks like the new CTR will be a limited production numbers car as well...
At least in the UK, not sure about NA.
Maybe Toyota will counter with some official GRC news... 👀I’ll send it to my friend so I can watch him geek out for a week then start talking about prices 😭
