Our car are going to be twin buddies on the train across Canada, I’m in NB.Nova Scotia
Yeah, they'll probably be shipped together. Should mean you get yours a couple days before me.Our car are going to be twin buddies on the train across Canada, I’m in NB.
Nice, congrats! What province?Well well well, looks like I'll be getting my Black CE in mid-July. Surprisingly, not from the spreadsheet list.

I hate you… lol I'm gonna call him right now to see if they have any update for my dealership. I presume there's no real update for the Vin numbers? Like the new batches etc.Ontario![]()
Not from my end, at least not yet. Because Toyota changed the VIN format it became much harder to find a pattern and build VINs that match it. I might still be able to do it, but I have not reliably succeeded, and no timeline on when/if that might happen.I hate you… lol I'm gonna call him right now to see if they have any update for my dealership. We also improved our vin detecting methods from 1 month after the car was made to literally just a few days after the car rolled off the production line. It is possible we actually are up to date now and that it seemed faster before because we were "catching up" to the cars that were already rolling. Not from my end, at least not yet. It's probably just coincidence, but it sure feels like Toyota is doing everything they possibly can to make it difficult to obtain a GRC.
Not sure how that would work. I think we'd have to trade allocations with both dealers agreeing before hand (I don't see a problem with my dealer since, you know, I'm the dealer in a way looool) because once we've picked up the cars for ourselfs I don't think we can just swap cars at the SAAQ lol.
Can you clarify how the dealer trading allocation for colour works? Are there conditions that needs to be met or does it just depend on whether the dealer wants to do it or not or does Toyota Canada not allow this at all? Just trying to see what other reasons I can use to convince my GSM.Out of all the GRC's in Canada, only 2 dealer trades have been done (4 cars total).
Go to a different dealer. The visors are $140 MSRP. There are plenty of msrp only toyota parts depts in Vancouver area. Part number 08162-12820. If you diy install, make sure you get 3M surface prep pads - it leaves a sticky residue that helps adhering.Has anyone ordered visors? The OEM Corolla hatchback ones run $200cad+ and wellvisors charge almost $50usd for shipping. Just wondering if there are cheaper alternatives...
As far as I know, you need to get both dealers to agree to it, and they have to arrange the logistics of transportation. You may or may not have to pay for that additional shipping cost. The thing about these cars is that every dealer has waitlists a mile long, and the only real difference between the cars is color, so they have no incentive to go through the pain in the ass of doing it. If you don't want your supersonic red circuit edition, just because it's red, someone else will. Can you clarify how the dealer trading allocation for colour works? Is this to change the visors to the standard corolla visors? I don't have a GR (hopefully I can get one someday), but is it because the GR visors aren't good?Has anyone ordered visors? Yea, I thought so about who absorbs the cost to transfer the cars. Gave up on the thought of allocation swap, I'll just enjoy my Black CEAs far as I know, you need to get both dealers to agree to it, and they have to arrange the logistics of transportation. You are too far down if you are to the point the cars are in dealer. As far as I know, you need to get both dealers to agree to it, and they have to arrange the logistics of transportation.
Nono it's the window visors. The ones where you stick it to all four windows to prevent wind or rain from coming in if you open the windows. Is this to change the visors to the standard corolla visors? I don't have a GR (hopefully I can get one someday), but is it because the GR visors aren't good?
Awesome! I have had those on my last two cars and I love them. If I ever get a GR, I'll be putting those on as well. Thanks!Nono it's the window visors. The ones where you stick it to all four windows to prevent wind or rain from coming in if you open the windows.
