Brake Dust

F Sport Lexus models are known for brake dust issues. If you change to Akebono pads, when they're available, it should solve it. Or if you track, you have a set of street pads and track pads you swap out.

Hate to bring this up again and I have read all the reasons why enthusiasts just love having performance brake pads for superior braking and that brake dust is ok to deal with but... I am, not a fan of the dust...and I also love great breaking but after having performance brakes on my BMW 135i and Speed3 and dealing with heavy brake dust for years it was relief to get away from it for a few years now in my wife's Mazda Turbo CX-5 which has good brakes but not as good as the GR Corolla., but good. And no dust. I am willing to give up a little brake performance for brakes that do not create so much dust , even in local easy driving. the GR rims are coated after just a few miles.. Regardless of cost is there options out there for pads that will work with the GR and not create so much dust...Not looking to change anything but the pads. Obviously I will live with the dust if need be as I like the car but for street driving that I do that's fairly non aggressive except for some pulls here and there on back roads...no track driving ... GR does have the Performance Pack...suggestions?
If the pads are identical with the GR Yaris, I would look into what their forums have said. The GR Corolla is just too early in its life cycle. On other cars, I've had good results with Akebono.

Those still looking into Endless, I just threw on some MX72 pads a few weeks ago to prep the GRC for Laguna track days this summer; here's some initial thoughts after break-in:

Moderate increase in performance over OEM. Noticeably more progressive, no weird initial "bite" like you would get with the stock pads. Stopping power is strong even when cold; easier to modulate than OEM when you really start digging in. Dust levels seem comparable to the stock pads as far as I can tell, so for those concerned more about clean rims than performance - there are better options that will compromise between braking performance/dust. I'll just wash my car.

Additionally - I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the pads are, definitely had more squeaks going on w/ the OEM set. Would recommend for those splitting their time between dailying and occasional track days. Or if you're looking for something a bit more aggressive than stock and wanna feel more WRC by running Endless pads on your car 😉

Hope this info helps out!
A bit disappointed to hear about the dusting, but it is what it is. I already got a set.

I think I paid around $260 for the Yellow Stuff pads. The Endless are about the same price IF you buy from BlackHawkJapan.
BlackHawkJapan is the place to go. US distributors are price gouging for absolutely no reason.

About 500 miles on Endless MX72 pads (a more track oriented pad but not full track pad), and the dusting is definitely better than stock pads. The pads do still dust, but at a much reduced rate. I'd say they have a third of the dust stock pads do. If you wash your car twice a month, I'd say this is pretty acceptable.

Here's a picture of how they look. It's also been raining, so it looks worse on the wheel than it actually is. Note how much is on the caliper. I think most of this would wash off easily.

The Akebonos are definitely solid. I believe they're a semi-metallic compound but I can't confirm this (they dust bronze, and they also squeak lol). The MX72 deals with track temps better and have more stopping power, but I wouldn't say they're leagues above the OEM set. They're a step above. All the other differences I noticed are in my previous post; they are objectively better performance pads than the OEM set.

If you rarely track or don't track your car and are still on stock PS4 tires, I probably wouldn't even switch from the OEM pads, they're pretty darn good (besides the duuuust).
I agree with all these, but I disagree on the dust. It is definitely better than OEM on dust. But that is not to say they are dust free. I would recommend these over OEM for sure.

Update on Endless MX72 brake dust after I washed the car last week. No rain. This is after 100 miles of mostly city driving. You can tell what dust used to be like on the inner barrel. Important to note that my wheels are ceramic coated.

200 mile Endless MX72 update. I'd say still relatively clean with some dust starting to build. I'm pretty happy with this pad. No loss in performance over stock.
