I've never had a car before that produces this much brake dust. I guess it's just the price of admission.
Yea I find it weird that people buy performance cars and complain about brake dust and noise. Like those fancy lap times and numbers are the reason that led them to buy the car right? Brakes made that happen. Now that they have it in hand, they complain about it. I don’t think I’ve ever complained about dust. I welcome it because I know those are good pads. Wheels, I don’t even wash any more. A dusty ass wheel to me is a badge of honor for track folks. If I’m at a C&C and I see a car with some dusty ass wheels, I know the owner is of the same mindset as me. And they’re cool in my book.Standard ops for good brakes. I’m the polar opposite. I’d be concerned if there wasn’t a lot of brake dust. I mean how ungrateful. Toyota equips the car with larger rotors and calipers than I think even the Supra gets (IIRC) yet people complain. Wow, we are lucky we get this car at all. Don’t like brake dust then don’t buy the car and get a CUV instead.
Pretty easy to manage. Clean car and wheels. While wheels are wet, apply Armor All Wheel Protectant or a similar product from another mfr. Follow the instructions on the can. Very easy to manage and clean. You could always acquire some regular Corolla hatchback brakes and decrease your braking performance. That will certainly be much less brake dust.
