Has that batch arrived or are they all gone already?

Those chamfers are to help reduce squealing by preventing brake dust buildup on the leading edge. Different manufacturers have different methods (angles, placement, etc) as you can see, but its all for the same purpose. They don't affect the braking performance at all.

edit- or if you're talking about the notch on the backing plate, I don't think it affects anything, maybe just a manufacturing step to attach a wear indicator. I'm pretty sure that area of the backing plate doesn't even interact with anything, it just hangs there.

Yeah I was referring to the shape of the backing plate. The longer portions that hang.

The pads fit without a problem. Braking feels a bit different, a tad less bite, but still feels good, and for a street car, I think they are perfect if there's less brake dust, so fingers crossed.

After a week and a half, Im convinced these pads are a must for anyone with light colored wheels.

At this point I perceive no difference in braking, and the brake dust is cut down so much.

This is after a week and a half, including a couple of days where I drove in the rain. With the stock pads the wheels would look horrible after 4 or 5 days.

Definitely recommend the Endless SSM plus pads.
