I've never had a car before that produces this much brake dust. I guess it's just the price of admission.
I'll take the much less dust, and swap out as needed for any autocross events. Plus dust on silver wheels is much more annoying than dust on black wheels.....I put on a set of the SSM plus. My initial impression was that the didn’t quite have the feel that the stock pads had. These are a bit more wooden feeling.
Much less dust.
Performance? I honest haven’t used them in that way. Probably only 250 miles on them so far.
I think I paid around $260 for the Yellow Stuff pads. The Endless are about the same price IF you buy from BlackHawkJapan.I ran EBC Yellows on my FiST with the Whoosh Calipers . Of course now it was Wilwoods with Wilwood pads.
I was wondering if they made Yellows for the GRC . Probably less money than Endless. Endless has always been exorbitantly expensive . I am sure it’s better now due to the dollar to Yen . Though EBC’s have always been really reasonably priced.
Thanks. Pads ordered!I've had the SSM Plus on my car for a few hundred miles now, and I can definitely say the dust is substantially less than OEM. The OEMs were just so unbelievably bad about dust. This is a huge improvement. Stopping power is still excellent in my opinion.
Fun fact, you can recycle your brake dust by packing it into some brake shaped molds then microwaving it on high for 5 minutes. If you collect enough of your brake dust, you'll never have to buy new brakes again! The fact that you're seeing so much brake dust is a feature, not a bug. Toyota engineers optimized the calipers and wheels for brake dust collection for you to do this very thing!
Ok. Brake dust is greatly reduced, but so is a good amount of stopping power. Fair trade for my daily. You'll be glad when you do. The difference in dust is astonishing.
Appreciate the tip.Just order from Blackhawkjapan.com. Due to the favorable Yen to USD exchange rate, quality brake pads are attractively priced when ordering from them vs US distributors.
