Can't say I've ever seen racing scales be used this way. Something is up because we capture this data in our R&D and that is not accurate to what our engineers recorded.

Track Edition: 28.5 lbs | Touring Edition: 37.5 lbs | stock exhaust: 33 lbs

They are correct that the stock is very light and ours is slightly heavier than stock in part due to material choice. We use 3" (2.5" for the rear) T304L stainless steel with a wall thickness of .065" so with the higher quality material and increase in diameter we were expecting to be slightly over stock, which turned out to be accurate in our testing.
Thank you for the reply and the update on weight.

Quick question, any future plans on different exhaust tips?

Hey, crew. Not sure what's up with those scales (can't say I've ever seen corner balancing equipment being used to weigh something other than a vehicle 🧐) but the true weights of everything are as follows: Track Edition: 28.5 lbs | Touring Edition: 37.5 lbs | stock exhaust: 33 lbs.

The rear factory suitcase muffler is hollow and baffled with nothing but open voids, thus the lower weight. Our thicker material + component content is directly reflective of the weights. Here if needed 🤘
Are you trying to sabotage our race program by filling the exhaust that you sent to us with lead?!

Definitely the best looking tips of any exhaust available for the GRC imo (y)

On the touring exhaust, how is the ~2k rpm resonance compared to stock? I see you mention minimizing drone at highway speeds, but I find the lower parking lot speeds are where it has that nasty resonance/buzz -- first or second gear around 1800-2500 is the worst and when you're spinning 3-4k on the freeway it's well away from that range.

Here’s a weight comparison! The stock exhaust is extremely light!

We’re just wrapping up filming and install and sound comparison video!

We ordered all of the stock from AWE for both their first and second batch. The first batch will be shipping out to customers next week!
Can you guys also do sound clips with your downpipe+midpipe? I’m interested in how that would sound.

Any feedback from those who have the touring setup? I can't stand the stock exhaust boominess...

Hey I can assure you when you first start driving you know there is an exhaust installed lol. As you get up in speed it is not bad at all. I wouldn't say it's drone. The GRC is not insulated much from the factory in which it does sound as loud as it does.

Gotcha, thanks for the feedback. Would you say the ~2100rpm boominess is louder, the same, or quieter?

I am trying to see if the "180 technology" is to generally minimize drone of a loud aftermarket exhaust, or if it is specifically tuned for this vehicle and the resonance in that area of the rpm range (especially at parking lot speeds). I'm really interested in this exhaust and don't mind if it makes more noise elsewhere in the rpm range, I just really don't want that resonance to be ANY louder.

All of our 180 Tech resonators are specifically tuned for the specific chassis/engine combo and 180 Technology's sole purpose is to kill drone frequencies, so it does little to limit volume. That being said, the AWE systems all around are louder than stock at all RPMs.

They REALLY need to hire a better welder tho.
The welds are a bit on the bubbly side and there's quite a bit of oxyde type 1(grey deposit) and 2(nice colors but still not good) on the welds.
If it had type 3 oxydes(golden finish evenly distributed) only I'd buy this sytem at this price.
But with these welds I'll go with something else.

I noticed this too in some of the photos I've seen. Between this and the lack of a real mounting solution for the valve motor, I am thinking this was sort of rushed to market. It's a shame because it does sound good.
