Any Wisco owners?

Reaching out to see if anyone in WI has received their allocation. Also, ANY information you have received would be greatly appreciated! I for one in central have nothing, crickets for almost a year(since deposit)even though I’ve been touching base with my salesman bi-monthly over the course.

If you really want one, and you don't mind traveling a bit to get it, be proactive! Keep an eye on the tracker, and mash the 'contact us' button on every Toyota dealership that you're willing to trek to, regardless if they have one incoming. You can do most of the negotiating via phone and email (but when it comes to the bottom-line price, get it in email!). And some will even allow for the entire purchase process to be completed online.

I ended up getting one from a dealership about 3 hours away from me, just about in the middle of nowhere. I forgot I had even contacted them. But they had a deal go sideways when it came to signing (they didn't go into detail, but I suspect financing fell through). I was the top of their list. Took a bit of negotiating, but ultimately we came to an agreement we were all happy with.

For some reason, the tracker doesn’t work for me anymore. Maybe it’s an iPad thing.

Mine did that once. Try clearing the cache (Settings -> Safari -> Clear History and Website Data). That did it for me.

I'll be picking up mine in the next two weeks from Kolosso Toyota in Appleton. I'm getting their first one.

I picked up mine a couple of weeks ago in Milwaukee. Just start reaching out everywhere in your vicinity. Obviously it's still a bit early to assume this is the case, but there's a chance that your dealer never actually gets one (happened to me with a GR86) so my advice is to keep on shopping. I've found in my search that there are quite a few people who have the top spot on a list but get denied financing and the car becomes available.

Did you guys pay MSRP? If not, do you mind disclosing your purchase price. My dealer promised MSRP, that’s why I’m holding on. I’m #3 on the list.
Been reaching out and stories go…all are spoken for(ok put me on a list in case), we sold ours and are shocked we even got one(will not put me on a list), we got one and we don’t expect to get anymore this year(put me on a list), and the worst…….called Bergstrom in Oshkosh they just sold theirs 2 days ago @MSRP with no serious inquiries prior.🤬 If I would have called them sooner, it’d be mine. Meanwhile, my dealer doesn’t know WTF is going on!

I'm in the U.P. and I got an allocation, I think we're in the same region as WI. There was another yooper on here that also got an allocation. I believe we're both expecting them in May. His is on the allocation tracker, mine is not yet. I got a VIN but it's a temp VIN and doesn't work on Toyota tracker.

I paid 5k over. The only high volume/MSRP dealer around me told me they couldn’t make a list since they didn’t know how many they would get. Fast forward to when cars started being allocated and they suddenly had 12 people in front of me…

Money talks, that’s bs. What dealer in Milwaukee? I spoke with Brookfield and the lady made it sound like I’ll be getting one in a couple months😆 She said they are the biggest Toyota dealer in the state and are expecting a good volume of GR’s. When I called Kenosha they already had a 86 person wait list and she was unscathed by that. I said put me down anyway…
It took Brookfield quite a while to even get an 86 if I remember correctly. Wilde is the MSRP dealer (at least they were. New ownership recently so I’m not sure if that still holds true. I got my 86 for MSRP in September) and they seem to get the most GR cars.

I got mine from Andrew, but I would strongly recommend to not go there. By far the scummiest dealership experience I’ve ever had. I got the car for close to the deal I wanted, but it was a fight the entire way.

I haven’t had any luck in the Milwaukee area. The dealers I called were all not taking a list or list was full. We’ve bought 2 vehicles from Brookfield, they aren’t helping at all. When the one came in they had it marked up $15k and the salesman told me “this will probably be the only one we’ll get and Toyota is only making 200 of them”. I told him that’s not true. He went to the manager who printed something off for me showing there will be 200 Morizos, but what they had was obviously a Core. He asked how much over msrp I’d be willing to pay and I walked out. Someone did end up buying it that day I think.

Unreal. That’s pretty sad. The deception these dealers pull is f’n criminal. From the sounds of the female salesman I talked to at Brookfield, I knew right away they would charge ADM. This whole thing is just disheartening for us enthusiasts. This should be a positive happy experience, and it’s nothing but anxiety and despair. I’m over here looking at Camaro SS’s and Elantra N’s cause I’m so pessimistic about my chances.

Yeah it’s all pretty frustrating. It won’t be a daily driver for me so I’m willing to wait. I don’t want to pay ADM. I’ve given up trying very hard but keeping my eyes open in case something might work out. I think a lot of people are on multiple lists so hopefully some of that demand clears up for second model year.

I've been casually following the GRC news for almost two years now and decided a couple weeks after the official announcement last year that I was interested enough in the car to get onto some wait lists and/or put a deposit down and Andrew was the only dealership willing to accept a deposit at the time so I put one down with them (2nd person to do so according to them). Pricing hadn't been released so it was a pretty informal process, but I did not get a good feeling about their integrity while I was there for the deposit process. They did come off a bit shady but it felt good to at least have money down toward the amazing car I was anticipating. Fast forward to January of this year and I received a call from them saying they had one coming in and wanted a $10k "overage" (the term "overage" must sound more palatable to potential buyers than "markup"?). I said I preferred to wait for a CE but would accept a Core for $1k over MSRP. She sounded rather offended. So I'm going to wait and see what they do when/if they are allocated a CE, but my gut feeling is that they'll try to get $10k over MSRP again. On top of that, my interest in the MY23 GRC has cooled off quite a bit after seeing the features they decided to exclude from the car (armrest, dual zone climate control, etc), despite those features being available in the Corolla Hatchback, which costs substantially less. It really seems like a car with some corners cut and I'm hoping the MY24 cars reinstate some of those omitted items.

Either way, it's interesting you brought up Andrew Toyota and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought they might be running a pretty shady operation.

My sales guy said if they get a CE the markup will be 'significantly more'.

But he was also an idiot so you never know.
I did end up picking up my GRC yesterday from Kolosso in Appleton. Couldnt have been more pleased. Paid MSRP with zero bs. All the packages. Port installed roof racks, but the dealership doesnt have a say in that so no biggie. Unfortunately they have no allocations for more at this time.
