The white one was from the Rolex 24 in Daytona a couple weeks ago. The car was open for sitting, though nothing guaranteed that is a production finished model. The big takeaway for me is that the interior upgrades match the styling and materials of the first gen premium BRZ/FRS interior. Same sort of padding and stitching.

Last I heard from my dealer was that we should expect Circuits march/April. It’s march and it’s crickets. The good things that We’ve seen lately that indicate that they are still working in that direction are that more reviewers on YouTube have been given actual circuit edition‘s with the final spoiler lately, so they are out there. The other bit of news lately is that, even though production isn’t being ramped up past the original 1500 circuits for 2023, they are increasing production for circuits in 2024! So next year should be a better year for getting one. Has anyone heard anything else from their dealer?

My guess is the only reason they are extending circuits into 2024 is because they won't be able to hit their production goal of 1500 for 2023. So just throwing us a bone.

Lol i still think it’s a “we’re not making 1500 CE for 2023 so maybe by 2024 we will have hit that number so let’s say we’re extending production”

but their statement, the only part where it was very specific was that they are going to produce around 1500 for MY '23.

there was this, which is what most talk about:
...our plans are to increase GR Corolla volume and continue offering the Circuit Edition as part of the GR Corolla lineup in 2024
then there is this:
There will be around 1,500 Circuit Edition units produced for the continental U.S. for model year 2023.
in my mind, around means they have some flex, but not a lot, maybe 10% either way? so maybe MY '23 sees 1350 circuits, or maybe it sees 1650 circuits?

The terminology is strange IMO. Whether they state as much in a press release or not, everyone on this forum knows that Toyota's GRC production is behind schedule because of supply chain & labor (related to COVID) problems. It's not like they've been restricting production intentionally. They're not intentionally months behind on deliveries because of "unexpected high demand". No, they've just been messing up on the production side.

It's weird to say they're increasing production due to demand when in reality they're behind their originally stated production goals.

Exactly the point I wanted to make. The question is, to what extent are they increasing production? How are they doing so?

absolutely, I said it in another thread. they state they are increasing production of the GRC, but they don't really give any insight into what they are comparing that increase to. if they are comparing that production increase to the 10 per day that's been shown via the allocation tracker, that's not unexpected (if they want to deliver more than 3500 entire cars for MY '23).

marketing speak is a lot of veiled truths. the only thing they state in that press release of any value is that they are going to produce around 1500 Circuits for MY '23, and then MY '24 they are going to make some too. does that mean that the number is 1300 for MY '23, and in '24 they'll make an additional 200?

the initial reaction from everyone was OMG they are going to make as many as they can sell! I dunno, I guess we'll have to watch and see, but that's not how I'm reading it.

Especially coming from Mike Tripp. He’s great at marketing for sure but sometimes he twists things in a way to sound exciting.

Like we knew they would struggle for production 7 or so months ago. He claimed it was “One too few” not that they were limited on how many cars they could make, but they were purposely limiting cars 😂

People ran with that too.
